Yarn – Storm Petrel 52/25

  Wensleydale locks from a flock of Wensleydale sheep in the neighbouring island of Sanday, mohair, cotton. Small locks, easy and fun to knit. Approx weight:  38g Approx yardage:  43m.

  Wool from long-stapled Masham sheep grown in Yorkshire by a friend of a friend.  My friend brings fleeces to Stronsay for me to spin.                                    Plied with a cotton, nylon and silk blend. Two-tone blue and deep magenta.  2-ply. Approx weight:  106g Approx yardage:  83m. NOTE:  Although I double wash my yarns after dyeing there may be a small amount of excess dye remaining.  I recommend you wash your garment separately after knitting.  Hand wash only.
